Position summary:

The New York County District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for an Intern II in its Forensic Accounting & Financial Investigations Bureau (FAFI). In this position the Intern is responsible for providing assistance by interpreting financial business records to the Investigator.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Examine various bank records, credit card and/or brokerage statements using Excel;
  • Schedule and analyze flow of monies;
  • Review case material to ensure receipt of documents for the purpose of analyzing, summarizing and interpreting complex financial business records;
  • Organize files;
  • Support Investigators on an individual basis as part of a team;
  • Perform tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level;
  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficient in Excel;
  • Working knowledge of CFIS;
  • Prior Internship with a government/prosecutorial or law enforcement agency.
Educational Requirements:
  • Accounting Major with a minimum of six accounting credits.
  • Two 5 hour days a week
