Description

Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) is looking to hire a Microsoft Developer in its Information Technology (IT) Department. In this role, the Developer will work closely with a team of SharePoint and other developers to focus on integrating SharePoint with other non-SharePoint applications as well as internal customization of a set of SharePoint applications. (DANY runs its intranet and many applications on SharePoint 2013.) The tools used are NINTEX Workflow, NINTEX Forms, and InfoPath, as well as .NET and other scripting languages. The ideal candidate has deep Microsoft development skills as well as an understanding of SharePoint, is innovative and passionate, and has proven skills to deliver quality applications on tight schedules in a multi-tasking role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain SharePoint to non-SharePoint application integration using standard Microsoft web architectures.
  • Develop and maintain customized SharePoint applications and application elements.
  • Develop and maintain optimized webservices.
  • Participate in ‘out of the box’ SharePoint development as needed.
  • Throughout the projects participate in status meetings on progress, priorities, issues, performance issues, and future work.
  • Participate in setting the overall future Enterprise Architecture direction.
  • Participate in creating system and requirement documentation.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft developer with a broad range of real-world experiences (three [3] years' or more experience preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft architectures as it relates to SharePoint and integration with on-premise and cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, Microsoft InfoPath Designer, etc.).
  • Experience with common Microsoft programming and scripting languages (C#, ASP.NET, etc.).
  • Experience with the SharePoint UI, .NET Masterpage setup, CSS and webpart customization.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL programming, SharePoint API and Powershell.
  • Experience with SharePoint API and related web services.
  • Experience with XML, HTML, Javascript, JQUERY and other scripting technologies used for SharePoint development.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint migration and migration tools a plus. 
  • Familiarity with NINTEX Workflow 2013 and NINTEX Forms 2013 tools a plus
  • Microsoft SharePoint certifications is strongly preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in computer science, engineering or related field of study.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. (Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.)

Commitment:

  • One (1) year commitment to the hiring department.
