Description
Program Summary:
The New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY) has an opening for an experienced Software Engineer/Developer with a solid background in application development. This person will work closely with members of the Development Unit within the IT Department and with users within the office. The ideal candidate will have experience in hands-on development, delivery, and support of applications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Participate in gathering requirements, advising technical issues, and providing technical support to IT teams and users.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
  • Prototype, evaluate, and recommend technology designs.
  • Promote adoption of standards and process across development activities including documentation, testing, version control, and code review.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Proven knowledge of .Net framework, WPF, MVVM, XAML.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and up, and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.
  • Experience in software engineer/developer role a plus.
  • Ability to provide estimations and meet deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Self-driven and willingness to expand technical skill set.
  • Applicant must demonstrate strong XAML expertise to be considered.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent level of training and/or experience.
Commitment:
  • Two (2) year commitment to hiring bureau.
