Description
Position Summary:

The New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY) is looking for a talented, passionate and self-motivated individual for a newly-created position in our IT Organization. In this position, the User Experience Analyst will possess a mixture of skills that include the ability to understand how the users interact with applications and to shape design standards and the necessary learning aides to assist users from across DANY.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate and build relationships with DANY users and application developers to optimize our application designs and workflow.
  • Create design concepts, storyboards, information architecture, wireframes, detailed user interface designs, interactive prototypes and user interface specifications.
  • Help in the planning and execution of user research studies such as contextual inquiries, user surveys and usability tests that identifies user priorities and learning styles.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams in the implementation and testing of user interfaces.
  • Establish new usability and user interface standards for DANY applications and our intranet.
  • Translate user design concerns to application developers.
  • Produce end user training material.
  • Deliver end user training.
  • Help address support issues related to usability.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate concepts through design and translate such concepts into detailed user interfaces and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and activities.
  • Passion for UI design and attention to design detail.
  • Understanding of desktop, web and mobile technologies.
  • Experience in a training role and demonstrated clear communication of technical concepts.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent level of training and/or experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have course work or degree in marketing and user interface design.
Commitment:
  • One (1) year commitment to hiring bureau.
