Position summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for a Desk Appearance Ticket (DAT) Coordinator (temporary position - up to one year) in its Case Management Services (CMS) Unit. In this position the DAT Coordinator is responsible for providing time sensitive clerical support to DANY’s Trial Bureaus and Case Management Unit.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for a Desk Appearance Ticket (DAT) Coordinator (temporary position - up to one year) in its Case Management Services (CMS) Unit. In this position the DAT Coordinator is responsible for providing time sensitive clerical support to DANY’s Trial Bureaus and Case Management Unit.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review DAT Arrest packages to ensure they are complete.
- Enter and maintain information in appropriate tracking systems.
- Assign DATs to appropriate staff.
- Assist office personnel, court personnel and the public with questions involving DAT processing.
- Notifies police officers of scheduled court appearances.
- Performs related duties.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
- Ability to learn, update and edit existing proprietary databases.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow.
- Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
- Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills essential.
- Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment; detail oriented and self-motivated and able to multi-task.
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff, law enforcement representatives and outside visitors.
- Previous clerical experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of the Criminal Justice system a plus
- One (1) year commitment to the hiring bureau
