Description
Position Summary:
The Conviction Integrity Program and Trial Division of the New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY) have an immediate opening for a shared Program Coordinator. In this position, the Program Coordinator will coordinate and manage the functions of the Conviction Integrity Program and Trial Division Central.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Answer Conviction Integrity hotline and assist callers with inquires.
  • Assist in review, analysis, research, and tracking of post-judgment motions, innocence claims, and correspondence.
  • Assist in the maintenance and update of disclosure materials for the Conviction Integrity Unit.
  • Liaise with the NYPD and other agencies on behalf of both the Conviction Integrity Unit and the Trial Division
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets for use by the Trial Division and for investigations, Grand Jury and trial presentations.
  • Track violent crimes and compile case summaries and statuses.
  • Track all misdemeanor and felony trials and document dispositions.
  • Monitor Trial Division significant cases, summarize case details and prepare briefing reports for use by Division Chief and others.
  • Collaborating with other DANY units on reporting and analysis.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.
  Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Lexis/Nexis and/or Clear required.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Superior organizational, time management, writing and communication skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivator and able to manage multiple assignments.
  • Excellent  interpersonal and organizational skills required
  Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred Requirements:
  • One year paralegal or criminal justice experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with the office and New York courts a plus.
Commitment:
  • One (1) year commitment to the position.
