Description
Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office has an opening for an E-Litigation Manager in its Cybercrime and Identity Theft Bureau.  In this position the E-Litigation Manager is responsible for providing highly skilled technical project management support for our in house E-litigation unit and office.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinating all e-discovery and technical aspects of large legal matters, including those with unique and/or complex technical requirements.
  • Providing litigation support expertise in the areas of e-discovery and electronic document review to attorneys and case teams.
  • Consulting with legal teams regarding work priorities and progress reporting.
  • Working with IT, analysts, forensic examiners and legal teams to coordinate the collection, conversion, processing, loading, and exporting of data and images to and from remote systems while maintaining appropriate safeguards.
  • Managing analyst teams assigned to E-Litigation department.
  • Managing an electronic database of department requests.
  • Coordinating with consultants and vendors to ensure proper delivery of services to case teams.
  • Hands on management approach and commitment to ensuring successful completion of work products and quality control implementation and procedures.
  • Documenting all e-discovery related decisions, requests, tasks, work product, and actions taken throughout the life of a matter.
  • Conducting and participating in the training of legal staff on the use of e-discovery systems, software applications, and tools and techniques.
  • Serving as the primary point-of-contact for legal staff on litigation support issues.
Qualifications: 
  • An in-depth understanding of the e-discovery process, including data collection, processing, review, and production.
  • Experience in managing large e-discovery matters from inception through trial.
  • A working knowledge of proper e-discovery procedures.
  • Experience developing and deploying new applications to and for an established user group.
  • Knowledge of Litigation Support database management.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard systems, including Concordance, Relativity, Nuix, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills demonstrating a track record of success in managing multiple concurrent projects in a client service environment.
  • Extensive experience with large and complex litigation matters.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of staff, various institutions, regulators, and law enforcement agencies to build institutional relationships.
  • Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy.
  • Ability to think and perform, under pressure, in a highly stressful and fast paced environment required.
  • Superior organizational, time management, writing and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with digital forensic suites preferred.
  • A two (2) year commitment is required.
