Position Summary:
The Intranet Development Team at the New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for a full-time Jr. SharePoint Developer. As part of the larger DANY IT team the Intranet Development Team is responsible for the SharePoint 2013-based DANY Intranet, plus a set of specialized .NET & SharePoint applications. The Jr. SharePoint Developer will be working closely with other SharePoint and .NET developers and interact with users in design, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a blend of .NET and SharePoint skills mixed in with innovation and passion. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide development in SharePoint Server 2013 including intranet, document management, automated workflow, collaboration, and forms design.
- Develop custom forms, views, lists, libraries and integrate enterprise content with SharePoint to include content formatting, personalization, workflow, and restricting access to content.
- Implement methods and procedures for stable configuration and control of application updates and changes.
- Assist technical writers with software documentation such as design documents, version description documents, and user manuals.
- Collaborate with technical staff to understand and develop resolutions to software problems.
- Be part of the team setting the overall SharePoint direction.
- Throughout the projects participate in status meetings on progress, priorities, issues, performance issues, and future work.
Qualifications:
- General background from .NET development/SQL Server and/or SharePoint (2010 or 2013) application development
- Understanding of SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, and SharePoint Foundation 2013
- Experience with NINTEX Workflow, Nintex Forms a plus
- Hands On SharePoint Server Administration a plus
- Microsoft SharePoint certifications; MCSE SharePoint is a major plus
