Description
Position summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for an Analyst in its Legal Hiring Unit. In this position the Analyst is responsible for providing administrative support to the unit and specialized units within the Office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform high-level administrative functions and related duties to support the Legal Hiring Administrator, the operations of the Legal Hiring Unit and the activities of the Diversity Committee.
  • Schedule Permanent and Summer Hiring Board members for interviewing, schedule job applicants for interviews and handles all communication and correspondence necessary.
  • Maintain and update the unit’s proprietary Legal Hiring database. Enter applicant data and compile reports as requested.
  • Greet candidates arriving for interviews, provide information and instruction and answer questions.
  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries from law schools and job applicants.
  • Assist the Director of Diversity and Inclusion as needed.
  • Assist with the design, supervision and administration of the Semester, Summer Law and College Intern program.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment materials including website and other social media.
  • Various additional assignments related to legal staff hiring and programs as requested
  • Responsible for working with Unit supervisors to ensure efficient management of bureau operations and resources.
  • Performs related administrative and clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Ability to update and edit existing in-house proprietary databases.
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
  • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment; detail oriented and self-motivated and able to multi-task and adapt to changes in workflow.
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of staff and guests.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
 
Additional requirements:
  • At least one year of experience in a law office or business preferred.
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings.

Commitment:
  • Two (2) year commitment to the hiring bureau.
