Description
Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for an Architectural Project Manager (temporary - 1 year minimum) in its Facilities Design Unit. In this position the Architectural Project Manager is responsible for providing collaborative and creative support to the unit.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Extensive experience with commercial and office build-out projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-phase and complex projects on budget and on time
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience producing SD, DD and CD documents using AutoCAD 2011 and SketchUp
  • Knowledge of New York City Building Code and ADA requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work affectively with multiple stake-holders, committees and agencies to ensure the successful completion of a project.
  • Experience managing consultants and contractors
Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Ability to update and edit existing databases.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple short-term projects.
  • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment; detail oriented and self-motivated and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and vendors.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Architecture major
Additional Requirements:
  • One (1) year commitment to the hiring bureau
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager
  • LEED experience
  • Experience with Public projects
  • Experience with New York City Agencies
