Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for a Network Services Support Specialist in its IT/Network Services Unit. In this position the Network Services Support Specialist will be part of a team that is responsible for providing network operations and administration support to the unit and office.

In this position the Network Services Support Specialist will be part of a team that is responsible for providing network operations and administration support to the unit and office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in supporting of all network operations and administration.
- Assist in User creation, transfers and separations as it relates to Network / Active Directory.
- Assist in after hour support of IT Helpdesk functions.
- Administration and Configuration of MS Exchange 2010/2013.
- Creating, Supporting, Configuration of Active Directory components.
- Assist in Maintaining, Updating and Configuring a multi-site network.
- Take lead role in Data Backup and Tape management.
- Ability to participate in high level meetings and understand the needs in order to offer solutions.
- Performs related duties as needed.
- Working knowledge of PC and related devices troubleshooting techniques and strategies.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure devices such as Routers and Switches.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related applications.
- Must possess a general fluency with computer applications and electronic devices and a readiness to quickly learn about and adapt to rapid changes in technology and computer systems.
- Good understanding of network concepts. Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols DHCP and DNS.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and documentation skills required.
- Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
- Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment; detail oriented and self-motivated and able to manage multiple short-term projects.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of staff and vendors.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 – 5 years of Microsoft server administration, preferably Windows 2008/2012
- Microsoft Training and Certifications
- Citrix server knowledge
- VMware experience
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) a plus
- 1 year commitment to hiring unit
- Sunday - 11:00 am - 8:45 pm; Monday - Wednesday - 2:00 pm - 11:45 pm
