Position Summary:

The New York County District Attorney's Office has an opening for a creative, experienced, business analyst/trainer in its Information Technology (IT) Unit. In this position the Business Analyst Trainer will develop a comprehensive information delivery program using a SharePoint-based Intranet.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Actively involved in design and standards of the Intranet; focusing on the most effective way to deliver information and instructions to the organization.
  • Acting as a liaison between users and developers assisting in gathering requirements and in implementing user friendly and effective applications and designs.
  • Testing and coordinating with Help Desk for troubleshooting.
  • Designing and delivering new cohesive, relevant, comprehensive and engaging classroom training; and updating existing training programs.
  • Designing and preparing all educational aids and materials.
  • Facilitating learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, facilitator guides, handouts, role play, case studies, and instructional technology.
  • Developing assessment tools to measure effectiveness of intranet delivery of information methods and training materials; reporting and incorporating findings into improving training delivery and methodologies.
  • Coordinating with other areas in the office involved in training and information delivery.
  • Encouraging units to use intranet effectively to deliver information.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel , PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment; detail oriented and self-motivated and able to multi-task
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize among competing needs and respond quickly to requests for information
  • Knowledge of adult instructional design, learning theories and principles
  • Knowledge of current and relevant training methodologies and applications
  • Ability to design, develop and record measurable competency training assessments
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field
Commitment:
  • Two (2) year commitment to hiring bureau
