Description
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office seeks an intern to support the work of its External Affairs and Communications Units.

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Researching a range of criminal justice issues, legislation, advocacy positions, and more
- Drafting briefings and other written materials
- Coordinating scheduling, fielding calls, and other administrative tasks
May include providing support to the Communications Unit, including:
- Monitoring the Office’s presence in the media
- Observing court proceedings, including noteworthy arraignments, hearings, trials, and sentencings, and reporting back to the Press Office
- Using and monitoring social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook
- Helping to organize and coordinate press conferences
